What piece of advice did you desperately need when you were 25?

We asked this question to several people, from 27-year-olds all the way up to people in their late-40s. Their answers are brief, but incredibly insightful.

1. You never stop being yourself, so continue to do what you love.

2. Pay your taxes.
3. Being selective with your free time is OK.
4. Not everyone needs to like you, and you don't need to spend time with people who don't deserve your friendship.
5. NO ONE has their whole life all figured out. Relax.

6. START SAVING NOW! Even if it's just $20 a month, you'll appreciate it later.

7. Prepare your own food and stop asking where your pay check always goes.
8. A home-cooked meal is cheaper and more attractive than taking your date to a restaurant.
9. Don't buy the cheap toilet paper, you'll regret it.
10. Don't study something you don't love just because you don't know what to do with your life.

11. Try not to worry too much about your "career," just find a job you're passionate about.

12. Learn to live like you earn less than you actually do.
13. Accept and nurture the stuff you're passionate about, even if it's weird. In fact, the weirder, the better.
14. Try to live and work outside the country you grew up in for a while.
15. Question everything, especially yourself.
