Update: If you missed the Nintendo Direct as it was live streamed, don't worry because you can watch the replay above any time you like. Nintendo announced updates to Animal Crossing New Leaf including new Amiibo functionality, RV campground area and more. The free update is called 'Welcome amiibo' and is available for download now.
When is the next Nintendo Direct?
Nintendo Direct is the legendary Japanese gaming company's way of communicating with both the press and fans. It's namely for making news announcements for new games including features and release dates.
The next Nintendo Direct is scheduled for 2 November and it will start at 2pm UK time.
Nintendo said "Join us for a Nintendo Direct focused exclusively on the new updates coming to Animal Crossing: New Leaf for Nintendo 3DS family systems."

Previous Nintendo Directs
The last Nintendo Direct was broadcast in September and was "focused exclusively on upcoming Nintendo 3DS games". The firm made many announcements across titles such as Zelda, Mario Maker, Pikmin, Dragon Quest and Animal Crossing.
